About the Role
As the Social Media Marketing Lead within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, you will be a strategic driver of our voice on social platforms. It is a leadership opportunity to shape how one of the world’s most prestigious financial institutions engages with a global audience on social platforms.

You will partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and Investment teams to architect and execute a high-impact social media strategy. You’ll lead a team responsible for translating complex market insights into compelling narratives that resonate with a professional investor audience, ensuring our brand remains at the forefront of the industry.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for Goldman Sachs Asset Management to enhance brand equity and drive engagement on LinkedIn.

Content Orchestration: Lead the end-to-end creation of high-caliber social content regarding product launches, macroeconomic insights, and firm milestones. You will act as both a strategic editor and a creative visionary, collaborating with internal design agencies to produce premium visual assets.

Campaign Management: Oversee a social media calendar, ensuring alignment with the broader AWM global content strategy and sequencing posts for maximum impact.

Innovation & Digital Transformation: Spearhead initiatives to modernize social media practices, including the adoption of new formats (e.g., short-form video, interactive data visualization) and exploring emerging platforms and tools.

Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize advanced analytics to measure impact and sentiment. You will share actionable insights to senior leadership, continuously refining tactics based on performance data and industry benchmarks.

Risk & Governance: Navigate complex regulatory environments by collaborating closely with Legal, Compliance, and Media Relations to ensure all content aligns with requirements.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as a subject matter expert, advising senior investment professionals on personal branding and social media best practices to amplify the firm’s thought leadership.


Skills & Experience we’re looking for

  • 4-8+ years of experience in social media marketing, digital strategy, or corporate communications, preferably within Financial Services, FinTech, or a highly regulated B2B industry.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional copywriting and editorial skills with the ability to distill technical investment concepts into engaging, "scroll-stopping" content for a sophisticated audience.
  • Market Fluency: An interest in financial markets and investments.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in social media tools (e.g. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and the ability to translate data into strategic pivots.
  • Organizational Navigational Skills: Proven track record of succeeding in a matrixed, global organization. You must be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, or a related field.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $80000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
