Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant with Front Desk experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within a clinical environment. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to enhancing the patient experience while ensuring the smooth operation of the medical practice. Bilingual preferred but not required.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Perform basic life support and emergency procedures as needed.
  • Manage patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment availability.
  • Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing inquiries.
  • Support internal medicine practices by assisting with patient follow-ups and care coordination.
  • Engage with geriatric patients with empathy and understanding to meet their unique healthcare needs.
  • Ability to perform general radiology X-rays under supervision
  • Assist as needed to Greet and welcome visitors in a professional manner.
  • Manage phone systems, directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff.
  • Collect Co-Pays, Co-Insurance, Deductible based on patient responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable; familiarity with medical-surgical practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in performing administrative tasks related to patient care management.
  • Knowledge of basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as trauma centers or surgical units.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, particularly geriatrics.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the medical field.
  • Proficiency in front desk operations with experience in customer support roles.
  • Ability to collect Co-Pay, Co-Insurance, Deductible
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
