The Opportunity

The ECommerce Leader is a critical role focused on executing the Princeton University Store’s FY2026 ecommerce business plan. This individual will implement core initiatives—ranging from mobile optimization, inventory harmonization, and BOPIS integration to loyalty, new merchandise collections, and SMS rollout—while ensuring day-to-day operations and digital merchandising are executed with excellence.

This is a hands-on role designed to build foundational eCommerce capabilities and support digital growth in a resource-constrained environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate both independent execution and strategic insight, with a focus on results.

Key Responsibilities
    1. Execution of FY2026 eCommerce Business Plan
  • Lead execution of defined roadmap projects (e.g., SMS campaigns, mobile site relaunch, BOPIS).
  • Partner with consultants and technology vendors to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
  • Monitor KPIs tied to FY2026 plan; report performance to CEO.
  • Lead Email campaigns

  • Manage enhancements to the SuiteCommerce platform for navigation, PDP content, and performance.
  • Improve mobile shopping experience and oversee product merchandising accuracy.

  • Oversee site analytics dashboards; optimize performance metrics like CVR and bounce rate.
  • Coordinate reporting improvements in collaboration with consultants.

  • Collaborate with the CEO, OmniChannel Merchant, and visual design resources.
  • Direct and support the Fulfillment and Customer Service team to uphold service levels.

  • Support loyalty strategy and email/SMS integration through Klaviyo and NetSuite.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications

    − 7+ years of experience in eCommerce leadership within retail or specialty retail environments.

    − Proven ability to execute web improvements, merchandising plans, and conversion growth.

    − Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite SuiteCommerce, Klaviyo, Zoined, and analytics tools.

    − Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity with limited internal support.

    − Strong communication and project management skills.

    − Online Sales Growth aligned with FY2026 target.

    − Website Conversion Rate: Target 4% with improved mobile performance.

    − Traffic Increase: Target 10% YoY growth in active users.
