The Amazon Robotics Supply Chain and Operations organization sources and manufactures a portfolio of robotics technology and is responsible for getting the right materials to the right place at the right time to support our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions.

The Global Electronics Commodities Management team is seeking an experienced Sr. Global Commodity Manager for Cameras (Imaging Sensors, Optics, Lens Design and Manufacturing, Machine Vision Cameras, FPC, Frames & PCBA, Radar, Lidar, and other core components) with a background in global supplier management, new supplier introduction, supplier development, and executing sourcing decisions to support new product introduction and long-term commodity strategy. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-managed and a driven sourcing strategist, with experience in electronics industry, mapping and aligning design and technology roadmaps, experience in creating sourcing strategies, and business acumen to support engineering teams to develop latest technologies through strong vendor base, without capacity constrain, while achieving cost reduction goals.

The Sr. Global Commodity Manager has an important role in ensuring their respective commodity and suppliers meet the technical and commercial specifications necessary for Robotics to satisfy its internal Manufacturing Operations, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Hardware Engineering customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • - Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent
  • - 7+ years of experience in supply chain, commodity management, and supplier management in a high-volume, global manufacturing environment.
  • - 5+ years of direct experience working with a global supply base of the relevant commodity.
  • - Ability to review and understand engineering requirements and design documents for mechanical and electro-mechanical parts.
  • - Experience developing, leading, and executing global supplier cost, risk, and lead time reduction strategies.
  • - Demonstrated use of technical, analytical, and management skills to lead RFQs, supplier selection, supplier capacity planning, and supplier risk identification/mitigation in NPI programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
