Outsourced Travel Specialist (Remote)

Full time, United States


We are seeking an Outsourced Travel Specialist to support the Travel Manager in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the travel program for a key aerospace and defense client. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, program teams, and preferred travel suppliers to ensure an efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused travel experience.

You will assist with travel reporting, support the tracking of key performance metrics, and help ensure cost control and policy adherence. You will also manage ServiceNow tickets, troubleshoot travel‑related issues, and educate employees on travel processes and program requirements.

This position requires strong research capabilities, a commitment to continuous learning, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work proactively with minimal direction.


As an Outsourced Travel Specialist, you will

  • Utilize SABRE GDS for research and troubleshooting, not for booking
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the travel program, including monitoring the travel inbox and responding to ServiceNow ticket requests
  • Provide timely, accurate support and issue resolution for employee travel inquiries
  • Offer guidance on corporate travel policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Serve as a liaison between the client and BCD to troubleshoot challenges and streamline processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with preferred travel vendors to support performance management and issue escalation
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the travel category
  • Assist in maintaining and administering travel‑related content on internal platforms, including Travel and Travel Safety & Security sites

About you

  • Knowledge of FAR compliance requirements and their impact on travel processes are preferred
  • Experience in corporate travel, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with T&E reporting and processes are considered a plus
  • Strong customer‑service orientation and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization to understand program needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, and manage competing priorities
  • Must live and work on U.S. soil and be a U.S. citizen due to ccontracted client requirements

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Outsourced Travel Specialist is between $60,000 and $72,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
