The <b>HR Operations Leader</b> is a key member of the HR leadership team, helping the Chief People Officer drive a total rewards strategy that attracts, engages, and retains GrayMatter employees. This individual will be responsible for growing and managing the payroll and benefits team.  <br>  <br> <b><u>General Job Duties:</u></b>  <br> <i>Benefits & Compensation</i> </div> <ul> <li>Collaborate on onboarding/off-boarding processes </li> <li>Support CPO in compensation strategy and administration </li> <li>Oversee benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance </li> <li>Manage vendor relationships and ensure accurate invoicing </li> <li>Leverage data to assess and improve total rewards programs </li> <li>Communicate benefits offerings and education to employees </li> </ul> <div><i>HR Systems</i> </div> <ul> <li>Maintain HRIS as the accurate source of employee data </li> <li>Build cross-functional integrations with Finance, IT, and other platforms </li> <li>Generate reports and dashboards with accurate HR metrics </li> <li>Analyze HR data and support audits and reviews as needed </li> </ul> <div><i>Payroll</i> </div> <ul> <li>Own and manage the full payroll cycle, deadlines, and calendar </li> <li>Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy across systems </li> <li>Refine payroll procedures and maintain compliant records </li> <li>Partner with Finance to ensure accurate inputs and reporting </li> </ul> <div><i>Compliance & Policy</i> </div> <ul> <li>Develop and implement HR policies and procedures </li> <li>Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws </li> </ul> <div><b><u>Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:</u></b>  <br> <i>Education / Experience:</i> </div> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience required </li> <li>8+ years in HR, including 3+ years in a leadership role (5+ preferred) </li> <li>Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paycor a plus) </li> <li>Deep knowledge of benefits administration and payroll regulations </li> <li>HR, Compensation, or Benefits certifications preferred </li> </ul> <div><i>Competencies:</i>  </div> <ul> <li>Proven leadership in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and team development </li> <li>Ability to motivate and lead diverse, remote teams </li> <li>Strong attention to detail paired with strategic thinking </li> <li>Knowledge of employment laws and total rewards alignment with business goals </li> <li>Excellent communicator and collaborator across teams and vendors </li> <li>Self-driven, discreet, and values confidentiality </li> <li>Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence </li> <li>A commitment to GrayMatter’s Core Values: Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork </li> </ul> <div>The target annual base compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000, based upon relevant qualifications.  <br>  <br> <b><u>Featured Benefits:</u></b> </div> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning day one of employment </li> <li>Employer paid short term disability and life insurance </li> <li>401(k) with up to 4% company match </li> <li>Paid holidays, paid time off, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave </li> <li>Additional benefits available such as long term disability, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, EAP, telemedicine, HSA and FSA </li> </ul> </div> </div> </div><br>
