NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a <strong>Patching Windows SME</strong> to join our client’s team. This is a <strong>remote,</strong> <strong>contract</strong> position.<br><br><strong>SALARY:</strong> $85-95 hour (depending on experience)<br><br>Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Only candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship should apply.<br><br><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li> Proficiency in upgrading and packaging OS and deployment tools (SCCM, Intune, Windows Autopilot)</li><li> Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory administration</li><li> Experience in imaging, patching, and endpoint management</li><li> Knowledge of security and compliance standards for endpoints, including Microsoft Defender</li><li> Ability to automate deployment processes using PowerShell</li><li> Experience in troubleshooting upgrade deployments and optimizing execution strategies</li><li> Demonstrated ability to analyze device readiness and validate data sources<br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Analyze device readiness and segment hardware for Windows 11 upgrades</li><li> Collect and validate data across multiple sources to support deployment planning</li><li> Standardize and consolidate device, user, and geographic data</li><li> Define primary upgrade paths, including deployment strategies (push/pull, in-office, device swap, full replacement)</li><li> Build segmentation models based on client data (user personas, location, support teams)</li><li> Establish program governance and reporting cadence for the upgrade project</li><li> Develop initial communication strategies for end users and stakeholders</li><li> Execute high-volume, low-risk upgrades using standardized deployment methods</li><li> Monitor and report progress through KPIs and status updates</li><li> Address bandwidth and performance issues in targeted regions</li><li> Collaborate with security and network teams to optimize tools and throughput</li><li> Manage application compatibility and resolve edge cases during validation activities</li><li> Build and maintain Windows images and execute patch rollouts</li><li> Automate workflows and system administration tasks with PowerShell<br><br></li></ul><strong>Nextpath Workforce Solutions<br><br></strong>NextPath is a strategic talent partner connecting skilled professionals with organizations driving innovation and growth.
