Job Title: Part-Time Customer Support & Training Specialist

Location: Remote (Must be available in the Afternoons PST) Pay Rate: $30 per hour Type: Part-Time (20 hours/week)

About 5-Star Students: At 5-Star Students, we help schools track engagement and positive reinforcement to build better school cultures. We are looking for a dedicated and communicative individual to join our team to support our West Coast customers

The Role: We are seeking a Part-Time Support & Training Specialist to handle our afternoon operations. You will be the primary point of contact for our users during these hours, acting as a helpful guide for teachers and administrators. This role combines reactive support (answering questions) with proactive training to help schools get the most out of our software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Tickets: Monitor and respond to inbound support tickets. You will troubleshoot technical issues, answer inquiries, and ensure no request goes unresolved at the end of the day.
  • Phone Support: Field incoming support calls from school staff, providing real-time, friendly assistance.
  • Training: Conduct focused Zoom training sessions for small groups of administrators and "site champions." You will use our existing training curriculum and resources to help these key users master the system.
  • Issue Tracking: Document recurring issues or feedback to help our development team improve the product.

What We Are Looking For

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. You need to be comfortable leading small video calls and explaining software clearly.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Zoom, ticketing systems, and learning new SaaS platforms quickly.
  • Patience & Empathy: You understand the school environment and can work patiently with educators of varying technical skill levels.

Requirements

  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace for conducting Zoom calls and answering phones.
  • Previous experience in customer support, training, or education is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
