We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and student-focused Business Studies Teacher to teach Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies and IB Diploma Programme (DP) Business Management to students in Grades 11 and 12.

The successful candidate will have strong subject expertise, a passion for international education, and the ability to develop students' strategic thinking, analytical skills, entrepreneurship mindset, and real-world business understanding. The teacher will contribute positively to academic excellence while fostering inquiry-based and student-centered learning.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Teaching Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Business Studies and Business Management lessons aligned with IB and Cambridge curricula.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and classroom activities.
  • Teach key business concepts including:

  • Finance and Accounting Fundamentals

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Global Business Environment
  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Incorporate business case studies, current market trends, and global business issues into teaching.

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design, administer, and evaluate formative and summative assessments.
  • Prepare students for IGCSE and IB assessments and examinations.
  • Provide detailed feedback and monitor student academic progress.
  • Assess Internal Assessments (IA), projects, presentations, and coursework.
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, and reports.

Student Development & Mentorship

  • Support students in academic planning and career exploration.
  • Guide students on university pathways in business, commerce, management, economics, and entrepreneurship.
  • Foster leadership, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Provide academic counseling and mentoring where required.

Curriculum Development

  • Participate in curriculum planning, development, and review activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Develop innovative teaching resources that support international education standards.
  • Stay updated on developments in business education, industry trends, and best teaching practices.

School & Professional Responsibilities

  • Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and training programs.
  • Participate in school events, academic competitions, entrepreneurship clubs, and student activities.
  • Uphold school policies, professional standards, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative academic culture.

Required QualificationsEssential

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Management, Commerce, Business Studies, or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in Business Studies or Business Management.
  • Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or IB Diploma Programme.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred

  • IB Business Management training or certification.
  • Experience in international schools.
  • Cambridge assessment experience.
  • Experience in online and blended learning environments.
  • Corporate or business industry experience is an advantage.
