ReminderMedia seeks a Junior Editor / Proofreader with an eagle eye for detail and a passion for precision. Key Areas if Responsibility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of copyediting or proofreading experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with style guides like the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) and the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong grammar skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize a high volumes of work under tight deadlines, communicating project status and potential issues proactively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat; experience with content management systems like WordPress and knowledge of layout, design, and typography.
  • Comfort and interest in using AI tools to assist with editing and proofreading tasks.

Remote Requirements

  • Permanent residency in one of the following states is required: FL, GA, NC, SC, NJ, PA, DE, KY, IN, MI, TN, MO, MN, TX, OK, CO, NM, AZ, or NV only
  • 40-hour standard weekly schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST weekdays with paid time-off, paid holidays and no night or weekend shifts.
  • A dedicated, distraction-free workspace with high-speed internet service.
