Payrate $17- $19.50hr

The Food Services Team Member is under the direct supervision of the Food Services Manager for the school and the Food Services Manager and will perform the following duties as assigned.

Depending on the needs of the school the position will range from - 2.5 hours/day to 5.5 hours/day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with students, staff and Administration.
  • Has manual dexterity to handle knives and other pieces of kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, steamers, ovens and dishwashers.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES (NOT LIMITED TO):

1. Able to provide exceptional customer service.

2. Serves and presents food in a visually appealing manner.

3. Use Mosaic POS system to process transactions and reconcile cash.

4. Operates kitchen equipment such as, but not limited to ovens, slicers, steamers, stove tops, warmers and dishwashers.

5. Conforms to all safe food handling, storage and sanitation methods in accordance with guidelines.

6. Prepares food according to the recipes and directions provided by the Food Services Manager.

7. Helps and assists Cooks, Bakers and other team members with joint tasks when other assigned tasks are completed.

8. Regular and on-time attendance is required for student support.

9. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be designated or assigned by the Food Services Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a school environment during the school day.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for a long period of time, reaching, bending and stooping.
  • Must be able to handle variations of temperature, working in cold or hot environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
