This role is at Automattic and involves more than ticket resolution: it includes testing, quality assurance, and product feedback that informs engineering decisions.

Support is at the core of how we build great products. As we’ve grown, Support insights help navigate platforms that don\\u2019t offer public APIs, work around ecosystem limitations, and maintain a clean user experience amid technical complexity. You\\u2019ll join a small, experienced team where day-to-day work varies from testing pre-release builds and debugging account state issues to tracking message delivery across bridges. This is technical work that directly impacts product evolution.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate user issues across Beeper\\u2019s mobile and desktop apps.
  • Review logs and debug message sync or account session problems.
  • Run QA tests on new features before release.
  • Write test plans and checklists to catch regressions.
  • Flag bugs with developer-ready reproduction steps.
  • Answer support tickets, especially the complex ones.
  • Surface patterns from social channels and app store reviews.
  • Work with the product team to close the loop on feature requests.
  • Write documentation (internal and user-facing) that actually gets used.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in technical support, QA, or hybrid operations roles.
  • Deep instincts for debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical problems to both developers and users.
  • Experience writing clean, clear bug reports that don\\u2019t waste anyone\\u2019s time.
  • Experience across multiple platforms (mobile, web, desktop).
  • Ability to think beyond ticket resolution and prevent future issues.

Salary range: $60,000-$80,000 USD. Please note that salary ranges are global, regardless of location, and we pay in local currency. Pay may reflect potential contribution and impact beyond the stated range.
