Description
This role supports the production of packaging, labeling, and print documentation for Apple products globally, ensuring adherence to high-quality printing and finishing standards. The contractor contributes to the successful execution of final designs for assigned projects and facilitates timely production and shipment. A working knowledge of print techniques and manufacturing processes is essential to effectively facilitate project requirements. This position requires close collaboration and coordination with a wide range of cross-functional partners, including: Marcom Packaging, Product Marketing, Designers, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Purchasing, Localization, Operations, in-region local teams and suppliers, to ensure project alignment and timely progress.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for packaging aesthetics and visual performance, with a focus on maintaining cosmetic appearance, color accuracy, and graphic functionality. This includes coordinating printed graphics, upholding established quality standards in collaboration with partner teams and suppliers, and assisting with the validation of print methods, techniques, and equipment to support mass production readiness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, equipment manufacturers, materials suppliers and printer/converter vendors to deliver best-in-class solutions to support Apple’s product packaging.
  • Work within new product introduction processes to implement defined program requirements and support the established production schedule from concept to production.
  • Able to work independently, applying problem-solving skills to overcome tactical challenges and adapt to evolving project parameters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years relevant experience in project management.
  • Proven experience with a variety of print techniques and print manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in Mac applications; database management systems; Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat; and the Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with design and engineering processes relevant to packaging development.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on upholding color accuracy and quality standards.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Resourceful and adaptable problem-solver, able to navigate changes in project requirements and timelines to maintain progress.
  • Ability to understand and communicate creative intent, and to coordinate effectively with partners to support project execution.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles; demonstrated ability to track deliverables, manage tasks across multiple projects, and coordinate with functional and cross-functional partners to maintain schedules.
  • Familiarity with packaging materials (e.g., papers, inks, adhesives) and print techniques; ability to interpret and adhere to technical specifications.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with creative and technical contributors.
