Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Commercial Pilot - AI Trainer and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of aviation technology. This remote position leverages your deep expertise as a pilot to inform and train advanced AI systems, enhancing safety, efficiency, and real-world applicability in aviation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for AI training, providing authoritative guidance based on practical flight experience.
  • Develop and refine technical documentation to support AI model development, focusing on real-world scenarios and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to ensure AI systems accurately reflect commercial pilot operations, emergency procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Review and validate AI outputs to ensure alignment with aviation standards and regulations.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly through detailed written and verbal reports.
  • Advise on the integration of AI technologies within fixed-wing and rotary aircraft operations, including charter flights, air tours, and EMS missions.
  • Champion safety and regulatory compliance throughout all AI training processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active Commercial Pilot certificate with significant experience in fixed-wing or helicopter operations (charter, air ambulance, or air tour).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional technical writing abilities for clear and precise documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Proven experience piloting and navigating non-scheduled routes or specialized missions.
  • Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to problem-solving and data validation.
  • Comfortable working remotely and engaging with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an AI trainer, instructor, or check airman in an aviation context.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or human-in-the-loop training processes.
