Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking Sr. Enrollment and Eligibility Specialists with direct SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) eligibility and case processing experience to support complex eligibility operations and serve as a subject matter expert within the program. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working for a state agency, county agency, or government contractor supporting SNAP administration.

This role is responsible for handling complex cases, supporting quality and compliance efforts and ensuring accurate and timely benefit determinations in accordance with federal and state regulations.

This is a remote opportunity with computer equipment provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Receive, assess, and screen applications, proactively communicating with clients to collect any outstanding information.

- Validate and calculate income, assess eligibility, and manage case referrals.

- Engage regularly with program participants on a daily basis.

- Potentially educate clients on fundamental program services and eligibility prerequisites.

- Collaborate with clients to establish and attain program objectives, ensuring continuity of services and eligibility.

- Fulfill additional responsibilities as delegated by Management.

Minimum Requirements

- High school diploma or GED required and 0-2 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience handling high-volume caseloads and complex eligibility determinations.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Prior experience processing SNAP benefits in a state, county, or government contractor environment preferred.

- Experience supporting additional public assistance programs such as Medicaid or TANF preferred.

Home Office Requirements

- Internet speed of 25mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to ).

- Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router.

- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US.

Pay Transparency

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
