The Wealth & Asset Management Solutions (WAMS) team is part of Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) enterprise. The WAMS team is responsible for the distribution and support of proprietary, and certain third-party asset management, products and services to consultants and advisors, across multiple distribution channels. The team also supports with the marketing efforts of the solutions, working closely with Offer Management, Product and Marketing teams. We are looking to add a Regional Director who will: Build trusting relationships with Schwab financial consultants in the defined territory to facilitate growth of Schwab Asset Management (SAM) and Third Party SMA offerings. Develop a deep understanding of SAM investment solutions and philosophies. Partner with an internal team of professionals to provide financial consultants and clients/prospects with ongoing education about investment products and strategy. The primary focus will be on proprietary, and 3rd party SMAs and wrap accounts. Lead education and rollouts for new products and enhancements. Act as a thought partner to financial consultants to help identify prospective clients and position investment offers. Present at internal and client/prospect events. Travel within territory for client meetings, branch meetings and Schwab sponsored events. This role will support the Northwest region and must be located in the Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area. Position allows for 100% remote work with travel within the territory What you have Required Qualifications Active and valid FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses Bachelor's degree 10 years of experience in business development and relationship management with a proven record of success 10 years of experience in financial services, retail investment management, wealth management, investment management consulting, portfolio management or significant investment related experience. Ability to articulate investment products features and benefits and speak knowledgeably about philosophy, process, portfolio holdings and the rationale behind portfolio construction Preferred Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent client relationship management and marketing/sales skills. Comfortable and able to present articulately to large groups: ex. industry conferences, webcasts, internal meetings, etc. Self-motivated and ability to travel part-time, or as needed to successfully manage the region. Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce & Tableau CFA and/or CIMA desirable but not required. CFP® designation or MBA desirable but not required.
