We're looking for a Protection & Control (P&C) Design Engineer who will support our high-voltage engineering team and contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our clients' electrical networks.<br><br><strong>Role Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Design, specification, and configuration of protection and control systems for HV and EHV substations.</li><li>Ensure adherence to protection philosophies and project requirements.</li><li>Check and approve design deliverables from internal teams and manufacturers.</li><li>Produce technical documents, reports, settings, and specifications.</li><li>Lead development of P&C schemes up to 400 kV including SLDs, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and schedules.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).</li><li>Demonstrable experience designing HV/EHV protection systems (11 kV–400 kV).</li><li>Experience with numerical relays (Siemens, GE, ABB, SEL).</li><li>Knowledge of IEC 61850, CT/VT characteristics, and SCADA systems.</li><li>Familiarity with ENA, IEC, and DNO/TSO standards.<br><br></li></ul>What's in it for you?<br><br><ul><li>Opportunities for continuous technical development.</li><li>Work on major UK HV and renewable energy projects.</li><li>Collaborative, forward-thinking engineering environment.<br><br></li></ul>Our market-leading offering provides you with benefits that suit your lifestyle.<br><br>We have a virtual GP on hand for you and members of your household.
