About the Position

We are a small manufacturing company seeking a reliable Production Worker to support our slitter operations and packaging for LTL shipments. No experience necessary—we will train the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with operation of Dusenbery Slitters (training provided)
  • Package materials for LTL shipping
  • Perform general production duties as assigned
  • Follow all company safety procedures
  • Maintain high quality standards—report any imperfect rolls to Don, Ken, or Ralph
  • Complete cleaning and basic maintenance tasks during slower periods

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 35–50 lbs
  • Basic math skills (decimals, fractions, percentages)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong attendance and reliability—we are a small team and depend on each other
  • No drug or alcohol use
  • Ability to follow safety rules and maintain a professional work environment
  • Proper documentation required (we use a third-party payroll provider)

Workplace Expectations

  • Phones may be kept with you but must not interfere with work or quality
  • If you leave the building for lunch or snacks, you must clock out
  • You may eat lunch during downtime if you remain in the building (no clock-out required)
  • No "horseplay" near machinery
  • Customers' needs may shift—flexibility and patience with changing work orders is appreciated
  • Questions are always welcome—if you don't know, just ask

Benefits

  • Year-end bonus eligibility for full-time employees

(Discretionary, historically averaging 1–3 weeks of pay)
