About the position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Endoscopy for a nursing position in Dallas, Texas. As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing patient care within the Endoscopy Center, utilizing your nursing practice model to ensure high-quality care. Regular assessment of patient responses will be crucial in your role, as it will help you navigate the healthcare system effectively and prevent complications or delays in care. In this position, you will be expected to delegate tasks to other staff members in accordance with Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and the skills of your team. Your primary focus will be on using careful clinical judgment to assess patients and prioritize their needs. You will create and adjust care plans based on ongoing assessments to achieve better patient outcomes. Additionally, you will evaluate your nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness, which may involve tracking performance indicators, implementing changes based on research findings, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Education will be a key component of your role, as you will help teach both patients and staff, integrating educational efforts into care at all levels. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • 2+ years of experience as a RN in Emergency Department, Critical Care/ICU, Operating Room, or Procedural areas (GI/Endo experience preferred).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Telemetry test required upon hire.
