As a Proofreader, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing various documents to ensure accuracy and consistency. This role requires a keen eye for detail and excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills. You will work closely with our team of writers, editors, and designers to ensure that all materials are error-free and meet our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit a variety of documents, including reports, proposals, presentations, and marketing materials
  • Check for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
  • Ensure consistency in formatting, style, and tone
  • Verify facts, statistics, and references
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to make necessary changes
  • Follow company style guidelines and ensure documents adhere to industry standards
  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to the content team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a proofreader or editor
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with AP Style and Chicago Manual of Style
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience in a consulting or professional services firm is a plus
