The Robotics Field Service Technician role involves executing service work, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Performing entry-level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products. Also capable of traveling on short notice and able handle air travel
  • Reviewing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities
  • Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards, as well as contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work as per customer order and expectations, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future
  • Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future, and ability to communicate with customers (external/internal) in high pressure situations/ maintain strong customer relationships

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of field/troubleshooting/maintenance/technical support experience, or a High School Diploma with 5+ years of similar experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 85% as required
  • Good mechanical experience
  • Electrical and programming experience also a plus
  • Knowledge of PLC communications and other robotic peripheral equipment preferred
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Windows)
