Our client, a dedicated non-profit organization, is seeking a passionate and experienced Remote Program Manager to lead impactful community development initiatives. This position is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while driving positive change in communities, with a focus on projects relevant to regions like Owerri, Imo, NG . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program management, a deep understanding of community needs, and exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement and resource mobilization.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community development programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Develop program strategies, work plans, and budgets in collaboration with program staff and stakeholders. Manage program activities, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes and impact. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local government officials, partner organizations, and beneficiaries. Mobilize resources, including grants, donations, and in-kind contributions, to support program activities. Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of financial resources. Conduct needs assessments and baseline studies to inform program design and identify key areas for intervention. Prepare regular progress reports, financial updates, and impact assessments for donors, the board, and other stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment among program staff and volunteers. Ensure program activities adhere to ethical standards, organizational policies, and donor requirements. Identify and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Represent the organization at community events, workshops, and relevant forums. Stay informed about best practices in community development and incorporate innovative approaches into program design and implementation. Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning among program teams and partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within the non-profit or development sector. Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing community development projects. Strong understanding of participatory approaches, needs assessment, and impact evaluation methodologies. Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills. Proven ability to manage budgets and financial resources effectively. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in fundraising and grant writing is highly desirable. Ability to work independently, remotely, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. Knowledge of local community dynamics and development challenges is an asset. Passion for social impact and community empowerment.
