<p><strong>Clarity Care is a division of United Imaging Consultants (UIC), Kansas City’s leading radiology group practice.</strong> We're searching for a driven PRN IR RN to join our team! This position consists of having a working knowledge of minimally invasive procedures and providing care to patients undergoing procedures which includes assessment, medication administration, moderate sedation administration, patient safety/comfort and pre/post procedure education. It also consists of assessing patient health problems and needs, developing, and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records.</p><p><br></p><p>UIC’s mission is to deliver diagnostic and interventional radiology expertise and care to patients and clinical partners with a strong focus on service excellence and integrity. Clarity Care team members are empowered to provide excellent service and expected to be trustworthy.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Expectations:</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrate Clarity Care values by focusing on safety and patient satisfaction.</li><li>Take the initiative to provide excellent service to patients, families, and other team members.</li><li>Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.</li><li>Educate individuals, families, and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, procedures, and treatments.</li><li>Performs vital signs, height, weight, starts IVs and screening procedures and documents in medical record.</li><li>Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.</li><li>Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.</li><li>Review test results to assess patient’s condition and notify treating physicians of relevant issues.</li><li>Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments.</li><li>Safely administer moderate sedation/medications ordered by clinicians.</li><li>Submit prescriptions and refills to pharmacies per licensed clinician orders.</li><li>Assist in the onboarding or cross training of team members.</li><li>Comply with all UIC policies.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li>BLS (Basic Life Support) healthcare provider, obtained upon hire, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment.</li><li>Computer Skills - related to PACS and EMR. Basic typing and word processing.</li><li>Two years' experience in nursing such as Cath Lab, Surgery, and Interventional Radiology, or other procedures involving conscious sedation.</li><li>Must assist with patient transfers and lifting other supplies.</li><li>Active Registered Nurse License in Kansas.</li></ul>
