Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Principal Civil Engineer to lead significant infrastructure development projects. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere while shaping the future of critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for the overall technical direction and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects, including but not limited to transportation networks, water and wastewater systems, and urban development. Your role will encompass conceptual design, detailed engineering, project management, and ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability. You will lead and mentor a team of civil engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Key responsibilities include conducting complex feasibility studies, performing advanced structural analysis, developing comprehensive design plans and specifications, and overseeing construction oversight. You will liaise with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project alignment. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in managing complex civil engineering projects from inception to completion, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of relevant engineering principles, software, and regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of major civil engineering infrastructure projects. Provide senior technical guidance and expertise across all project phases. Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and detailed engineering designs. Conduct advanced engineering analyses, including structural, hydraulic, and geotechnical assessments. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively. Oversee and mentor a team of civil engineers and technical staff. Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations. Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and calculations. Contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a significant focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects. Expertise in various civil engineering disciplines (e.g., transportation, water resources, structural). Proficiency in relevant engineering design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS). Strong leadership, project management, and team-building skills.
