We are seeking an On-Call RN Consultant in the Kansas City area to support assisted living communities on an as-needed basis.<br><br>Position Overview<br><br>The On-Call RN Consultant will bring clinical expertise and instructional leadership to assisted living communities when called upon. A primary responsibility will be teaching the state-required Medication Administration class to unlicensed staff. This role also involves supporting facilities with compliance oversight, resident care quality, and staff mentoring.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Teach the LIMA (Level I Medication Aide) medication administration training program in accordance with Missouri state regulations.</li><li> Provide on-call RN consulting services, including clinical assessments, care plan review, and regulatory compliance support.</li><li> Collaborate with facility leadership (Executive Directors, DONs) to reinforce clinical best practices and policy compliance.</li><li> Mentor caregivers to enhance medication safety, documentation, and resident engagement.</li><li> Prepare and submit documentation, training records, and follow-up recommendations to leadership.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (must be in good standing).</li><li> Certification to teach the LIMA Medication Administration course via Missouri's TraintheTrainer Workshop for Level I Medication Aide instructors (approved by MO DHSS and/or DMH) (dmh.mo.gov, law.cornell.edu).</li><li> At least one year of nursing experienceโ€”preferably in assisted living, long-term care, or similar settings.</li><li> Strong understanding of Missouri assisted living regulations and medication administration standards.</li><li> Excellent communication, instructional, and organizational skills.<br><br><br></li></ul>What We Offer<br><br><ul><li> Flexible, on-call consulting assignments.</li><li> Competitive compensation aligned with experience and certification.</li><li> Opportunity to make an immediate positive impact on facility compliance and staff competency.</li><li> Supportive team culture and professional resources.</li></ul>
