Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Manager of CASS is responsible to oversee the day-to-day compliance of PSA Airlines for Maintenance Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System. This position will interact with PSA Airlines Directors/Managers and Regulatory Agencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project a strong commitment to the uncompromising promotion of a Safety Culture and Regulatory Compliance at PSA Airlines.
  • Responsible for the overall management of the aircraft Maintenance Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System.
  • Manage coordination and oversight between CASS and aircraft maintenance Reliability Department's aircraft operational statistical performance data analysis and reporting.
  • Manage the activities of CASS Analysts.
  • Mentor and guide CASS Analysts.
  • Manage the interface of maintenance program performance surveillance data collection produced by Quality Assurance audits for the evaluation function of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System.
  • Manage trend analysis efforts of collected performance surveillance data to include data integrity.
  • Manage and coordinate the ongoing development and evolution of the aircraft Maintenance CASS.
  • Manage preparation and content of CASS Review Board agendas and minutes to include tracking open action items until completed.
  • Manage assigned budgetary responsibility.
  • Serve as the SMS focal point for the Maintenance and Engineering organization.
  • Manage coordination of CASS activities with Safety Management System (SMS) and Safety Departments.
  • Manage the aircraft maintenance CASS aspects of the Maintenance Data Analysis Group (MDAG).
  • Ensure RCA responses for root causes, risk ratings, and preventative actions are adequate for long-term correction.
  • Ensure timely RCA responses for verifying implementation and effectiveness of preventative actions.
  • Responsible for CASS with a report of all findings, root cause, and trend analysis of vendor, facility, and internal programs.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities as appropriate on matters related to CASS.
  • Act positively, cooperatively, efficiently, and expediently in carrying out all orders, directives, and requests from senior management.
  • Ensure that decisions made, and actions taken are in the best interest of PSA Airlines in all matters relating to aircraft Maintenance CASS.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, practices, procedures, processes, and methods required by the PSA Airlines General Maintenance Manual and other PSA Airlines technical data, directives, and instructions.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Position Specifics

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years progressive experience in any combination of the following areas required: aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance or auditing required.
  • Experience with writing reports/technical writing required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent writing/communication skills.
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aviation Safety or Business field preferred.
  • FAA Airman Certificate.
  • Extensive operational experience and professional qualifications in aviation.
  • Previous knowledge and understanding of Regulatory Compliance.


Additional Information

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Director of Maintenance Safety.

Authorities: None.

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
