GlowUp ACS exists to close that gap.<br><br>GlowUp ACS is a nonprofit workforce development organization focused on preparing students and early-career professionals for professional environments through hands-on training programs and structured internships. Our programs are designed to simulate real workplace expectations, combining mentorship, skills development, and real-world project experience so participants are not entering the workforce unprepared.<br><br>We primarily serve college students, recent graduates, and individuals from underrepresented or nontraditional backgrounds who need practical experience—not just credentials—to compete in today’s hiring landscape. Through project-based learning, participants build marketable skills, professional portfolios, and the confidence required to navigate modern, often remote-first workplaces.<br><br>At our core, we value accessibility, equity, and learning by doing. We provide them with their first real-world training, helping them gain skills and confidence for the future.<br><br><strong>Our Remote Nature (and Tech Note) <br><br></strong>We operate entirely remotely, so having a reliable computer is essential. While we hope to provide equipment in the future through donations or grants, right now we ask that board members have a computer or laptop capable of running apps or using browser tools like Slack and Notion. We’ll provide all the necessary training—no worries there!<br><br><strong>Who We're Looking For<br><br></strong>We’re currently seeking a diverse range of board members who can bring different skills to our team.
