<strong>JOB SUMMARY:<br><br></strong>Candidate will be responsible for assessing software requirements and for creating and maintaining applications in support of instrumentation configuration and flight test data processing. This position is accountable for providing support and application development relating to new product development and certification, as well as related processes in the experimental flight test environment.<br><br><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Interface with internal and external customers, including the Telemetry Data Station, Instrumentation, Flight Test, and other areas of Engineering. </li><li> Develop tools and processes in support of flight test data management, which may include instrumentation configurations, parameter calibrations, data conversions, data displays, processing automation, and analysis tools. </li><li> Ensure the quality, accuracy and traceability of all acquired data/</li><li> Enhance and update the process of Instrumentation and how data is collected and recorded. </li><li> Update & enhance the process of data conversion and how data is transformed from raw counts to engineering unit values. </li><li> Improve the process of data consumption and how data is viewed and used by others. </li><li> Proactively look for areas of improvement in order to increase speed, increase reliability, increase accuracy, increase usability, reduce errors, and reduce complexity. <br><br></li></ul><strong>EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in required in Engineering, Computer Science, or relative technical engineering degree</li><li>Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role <br><br></li></ul><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to utilize computers to create and modify data acquisition software. </li><li>Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. </li><li>Professional demeanor and organizational skills. </li><li>Must have positive attitude and outstanding integrity. <br><br></li></ul><strong><em>Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship. <br><br></em></strong><strong><em>Textron Aviation Inc. must comply with U.S. export control laws.  If a position requires access to information controlled under U.S. regulations applicant must be eligible to meet any requirements to access controlled information.  <br><br></em></strong><strong><em>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
